WHAT IS AN INDIVIDUAL TRAINING ACCOUNTS (ITA)? If job seekers have received core and intensive services in the One-Stop Career Center and are still unemployed, or are in need of advanced skills training, they may be eligible for training through the Individual Training Accounts (ITAs). The State approved Eligible Training Provider List includes the locally approved schools that may accept students from the One-Stop Career Centers. HOW DO I QUALIFY? Job seekers are determined to be eligible by their local One-Stop Career Centers and referred for training through an in-depth process. Training is self-selected by the enrollee with guidance and assistance from an assigned One-Stop advisor. Once an individual has been referred to, and approved by, the training provider, a Workforce Partnership-approved ITA will be issued prior to enrollment for the amount of the training program selected (up to the current ITA cap). Prospective enrollees' choice of school is reviewed by One-Stop Career Center staff and approved subject to:
WHAT'S THE PROCEDURE FOR ENROLLMENT? Following approval for the training program, enrollees will be required to visit three schools, discuss needs and availability of financial aid with appropriate school staff, complete a Training School Research check list and meet with their assigned One-Stop advisor prior to approval and issuance of the ITA. WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM TRAINING? Training may consist of one or more classes related to a given occupational area, including classes leading toward a certificate in a specific field. WHAT COSTS DOES AN ITA COVER?
LOCAL ELIGIBLE TRAINING PROVIDER LIST (ETPL) Schools and educational institutions on the local ETPL list are eligible to receive individual referrals from One-Stop Career Centers to provide WIA-funded training to job seekers who need occupational training in order to obtain employment.
